The African American Community Roundtable of Howard County is sponsoring a Town Hall Meeting: “Tipping Point – A Critical Community Conversation” on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 7 P.M. at the Smith Theatre located on the campus of Howard Community College.
There has been a large and growing concern for the nature of police and community relationships in light of continued video of African American men being shot during normally routine encounters with law enforcement officers. The event is designed to provide a forum for citizens, public servants, elected officials and community leaders in Howard County to begin an honest conversation in search of positive solutions.
This event will be moderated by Patrice Sanders, anchor of Fox45 Morning News. The focus of the conversation will be on public safety, mental health and community relations. All concerned citizens are invited to participate in this groundbreaking discussion.
