The Council of Elders in partnership with the Department of Student, Family and Community Services of the Howard County Public School System will be holding a group of special celebrations where African-American middle and high school students will receive an award for outstanding performance on the Maryland School Assessment (MSA) 2014. The events will take place on November 10, 11, 17, 20. Events on November 10-11, 2014 will take place at River Hill High School, 12101 Route 108, Clarksville, MD 21029. Event on November 17, 2014 will take place at Glenelg High School, 14025 Burntwoods Road, Glenelg, MD 21737. Event on November 20, 2014 will take place at Oakland Mills High School, 9410 Kilimanjaro Road, Columbia, MD 21045. All events will be held at 6:30pm for each grouping of students.
Parents: Please have your student arrive NLT 6:00pm to line up with their school, so they will not miss the procession.
