Finding the Right Support for Your Child (including 504/IEP)

Does your child struggle academically?  Do you suspect your child needs additional supports in order to be successful?

Please join The Council of Elders of the Black Community of Howard County and representatives of Howard County Public School System’s Office of Special Education and Student Services as they discuss rights and responsibilities for students receiving special education services and 504 Accommodation Plans.

Saturday, April 9, 2016, 10:00 a.m. – Noon
Oakland Mills Middle School
9540 Kilimanjaro Road, Columbia, MD 21045

Registration is now closed

Participants will come to understand

1) What are 504 and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) plans and what are the procedures for each.

2) What support is available for your child.

3) What are the responsibilities of the HCPSS, understanding that some support is required, not optional
